New Free oracle products are out

Oracle XE  11g beta  just came out today, SQL Developer 3.0 came out, and Oracle SQL developer data modeler came out a couple of months ago. All free.

  1. Do you know if the XE restrictions will be the same as the 10g restrictions or have they relaxed them a little bit? 2GB of Memory and 10GB storage would make a huge difference...

    1) Express Edition is limited to a single instance on any server;
    2) Express Edition may be installed on a multiple CPU server, but may only be executed on one processor in any server;
    3) Express Edition may only be used to support up to 11 GB of user data (not including Express Edition system data);
    4) Express Edition may use up to 1 GB RAM of available memory.
